Callum Cruickshank

Callum's first introduction to music came at the age of 4 ½, when he began piano lessons. He was taught the Suzuki method of piano and continued that until he was 16.
The accordion came a few years later, at around the age of 7. He was inspired by the great traditional music scene that surrounded him. Both his parents, Brian and Jennifer Cruickshank, being leading musicians in the Scottish Dance Band world.

Callum has enjoyed major success on both the piano and accordion at the many festivals held throughout Scotland.

In 2015, he and his band guested at The Skye Accordion Fiddle Festival, Keith Folk Festival and The Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival. He has also featured on Radio and Television, when he was part of a BBC Alba production, in tribute to Robbie Shepherd.

Callum has a great love and passion for traditional music.
