Taste the fun - 26 August

Every wondered what it would be like to play a fiddle, beat a bodhran or sing a song? These are some of the opportunities on offer at the Scottish Culture and playing togetherTraditions (SCaT) taster day on Saturday 26 August. Tutors and others will be on hand from 11 am to 4 pm at Harlaw Academy, Albyn Place, Aberdeen to introduce you to making music with these and the pipes, accordion and whistle - and you can also consider any other instrument to join in the mixed instrument class. And if dancing is your thing, then come along to learn about Scottish Step dance and ceilidh dance.

Susan Kirkwood, SCaT Chairman said: “we welcome adults of all ages who wish to learn a new instrument - or re-learn one they played as a youngster - or develop their existing skills and widen their repertoire, playing or singing together for enjoyment. ”
