Banchory Shaw a great success! |
|
Banchory Shaw – Saturday June 9th A warm June sun shone on the festivities as Banchory High Street opened its doors to the inaugural Banchory Shaw this year on St Ternan’s Day. A full day of workshops was led by our very own SCaT tutors, as well as some local ‘celebrity’ guests - including master fiddler Paul Anderson and famed storyteller Stanley Robertson. The afternoon traditional music session in the Burnett Arms Hotel extended through the afternoon with tunes and songs and the jam-packed schedule provided a variety of workshops of all levels – from beginning bodhran and whistle, to all-ages playground games and an advanced fiddle masterclass. In the evening, the Dark Island Ceilidh Band provided the music for a lively evening.
