Description: An introductory course in the percussive step dance of the Cape Breton tradition. Participants will learn the basic steps of strathspey and reel and some simple routines. Dancing will mainly be to recorded music, but there may be a live fiddler from time to time.

Location: Harlaw Academy Experience: no experience is required but previous dancing experience would be an advantage.
Practical tips: You will need a pair of low-heel or flat, hard-soled shoes. Clothes should be comfortable and not warm. You are advised to bring a bottle of water
