He has been playing guitar for a number of years and first got interested in playing traditional music in 1995 with Dougie Hunter, the box player with band Hoogie and 6’ Ginger. He performed with Hoogie on their first album ‘Knackiedoo’. He moved to Stonehaven in 2001 and after attending their festival rekindled his enthusiasm. He now plays with local band ‘Footerin’ Aboot’. He plays his guitar mostly in ‘Drop D’.
