Maggie Trickey

Aberdonian Maggie Trickey has been singing since childhood having her parents and neighbour Jeannie Robertson as her early influence. With the encouragement of husband Dick Trickey and friend Kathleen Robertson she sang regularly at Aberdeen Folk Club from early eighties.  She started playing bodhran over twenty years ago in folk duo 'Bridge the Gap' with Dick, also playing at regular ceilidhs with 'Ceilidh On' four-piece ceilidh band for the past ten years.  She has also played at Festivals, folk clubs, concerts and has substitued in various other bands.
To date she has been singing and bodhran tutor at SC&T's classes and various workshops and latterly at the 'Living Tradition' summer schools..
