SC&T hosted traditional music performances in the marquee at this year's Highland Games (Hazlehead Park, Sunday 21 June). The combination of glorious sunshine and fabulous music and song from SC&T tutors, participants and friends drew the crowds, with well in excess of 600 visitors to the marquee!
Big thanks go to all the performers, organisers, volunteers, the sound engineer and, of course, the audience, who all helped to make the day such a huge success. Aberdeen City Council want to make 'Music in the Marquee' a permanent fixture at the Games, and SC&T have already been invited back in 2010!
Danny Parrott, events officer at Aberdeen City council said…. “One of the most popular attractions was the music tent, which had people playing traditional Scottish folk music throughout the day.” P&J, 22 June
