An evening of FREE instrument and dance workshops with Breabach & Le Vent du Nord. In partnership with Aberdeen Performing Arts.

SC&T have teamed up with Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) to bring you a fabulous opportunity to explore the relationship between Scottish and Canadian traditional music, with an evening of free workshops with Breabach and Le Vent du Nord.

Workshop Schedule

Six workshops, running simultaneously from 7.00pm - 8.00pm

  Réjean Brunet (basses, accordion) LVDN
  
• Workshop 4
  Olivier Demers- (fiddle/feet percussion/mandolin) – LVDN - this will be suitable for non musicians as there will be a foot stomping element to the workshop as well as playing!

Each workshop will be limited to 15 per group.

ALL groups come together in the Hall at Harlaw Academy for a sharing event 8.20-9pm.

These are Aberdeen Performing Arts workshops held in association with Scottish Culture and Traditions (SC&T) and members of the Canadian band Le Vent Du Nord (LVDN) and the Scottish band Breabach (B).

Breabach were nominated for Best Scottish Folk Band in the Scots Trad Music Awards 2007 & 2008. Le Vent du Nord is one of Quebec’s most-loved folk bands.

APA are also giving SC&T Friends and participants the chance to see both bands in concert for a discounted price of £5.00 at the Music Hall on Thursday 04 February. Just mention SC&T when buying your ticket to receive the discount!
