Guitar 1/2 with Kaitlin Ross

SC&T Adult Autumn Term 2021

This class is suitable for Beginner - Intermediate players. 

This term Kaitlin will be looking at
- different types of traditional music & how to identify different types of tunes.
- learn basic guitar chords and lead up to be able to play chords up the neck.
-Look at how to accompany jigs, reels, waltz' and strathspeys.
Specialising in guitar and Gaelic song, Kaitlin Ross has a driving, traditional style influenced by her Highland roots. Kaitlin is a member of ‘Eabhal,’ a contemporary Scottish band who were nominated for ‘Up and Coming Artist’ at the MG Alba Trad Awards in 2018. In the same year, they won ‘Battle of the Folk Bands’. Eabhal have toured Nationally and Internationally and released their Debut Album ‘This is How The Ladies Dance’ in 2019.
Kaitlin also performs with pianist Catriona Hawksworth, from Heisk and has collaborated with world music band, Rafiki Jazz.

SC&T are using an online platform called Thinkific and Zoom to host the online classes this term. Thinkific is an online platform where participants can find all supporting lesson material, lesson recordings and music in one place and sign up for the weekly classes. You will find the Zoom link in the course material for your class. 

Price for the term is: £70 - this can be paid in one lump sum when you sign up, or in 3 monthly instalments of £23.33 - you can choose your preference when you sign up.
